Dear CCBR Supporters,
2009 is going to be a big year for the planet. Leading up to the meeting in Copenhagen in December (that will determine the next phase of international agreement on the Kyoto Protocol) Australians need to find a way to get the message to our leaders that we want urgent strong action on climate change. 5% is nowhere near enough.

Australia's inaugral National Climate Action Summit:
The February 3 protest comes at the end of a three day summit being held in Canberra by grassroots climate action groups across Australia. There are presently over 200 groups like ours doing wonderful work in their communities to inform and enable citizens to act on Climate Change. The summit will give the grassroots climate movement a springboard from which to dive into meaningful co-ordinated campaigns, actions and and over the next 9 months in the lead up to Copenhagen.
